A few of us at Valley End School are taking part in a sponsored slim to raise money for Archie Blomfield (a little boy at Valley End).
Week twelve = 5lb =159.25lb in total wow!!!
Week Eleven = 7.25lb
Week Ten = 9.75lb loss = 10stone 10lb
Week Nine = 9.75 = 10stone 0.25lb in total!!
Week Eight = 9.75lb = 9stone 4.75lb
Week Seven total team loss = 1 stone = 8stone 9lb Wowzers!
Week Six = HALF TERM :)
Week Five total team weight loss = 17.25lb = total weight loss of 7stone 9lb
Week Four total team weight loss = 12.75lb = total weight loss of 6stone 5.75lb
Week Three total team weight loss = 10lb = total weight loss of 5stone 7lb :-)
Week Two total team weight loss = 25.5lb = total weight loss of 4stone 11lb WOW!
Week One total team weight loss = 41.5lb.
Archie, is 5 years old and has Cerebral Palsy and can't walk independently despite 4 years of intensive physiotherapy. His parents have recently looked into a procedure called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy, where a vertebrae is removed to expose the spinal cord and some of the sensory nerves are cut, which permanently reduces the stiffness in the legs. It is this stiffness which is preventing Archie from walking. The Blomfield's are heading out to St Louis Missouri for what we all hope will be be a completely life changing operation for Archie, and they hope to raise some funds to go towards the £50,000 cost of the surgery. So...you can either sponsor us a set amount based on us hitting our target weight loss or sponsor an amount per lb we loose. We will update this site weekly to let you know how much weight we have lost.
