Learning from local action... At Toynbee Hall we develop practical, innovative programmes for people of all ages. We offer advice and support to overcome disadvantage and we provide new challenges to empower local people and communities to fulfil their potential. Toynbee Hall has been working with the people of Tower Hamlets since 1884. Last year, with a staff team of 42, Toynbee Hall enlisted the help of over 400 volunteers to make a difference in the lives of more than 6,000 local people. ...Developing national solutions Learning through experience and research, Toynbee Hall is committed to pioneering social change and developing innovative programmes that can make a difference on a national level.
