Why your donation matters

Your donations allow us to rescue stray and unwanted Staffordshire bull terriers and related cross-breeds, allowing us to fund their care and welfare until they find loving new homes, enabling us to advertise those dogs in newspapers, magazines, on the internet and on leaflets and posters. They allow us to offer a community-based neutering service and they help us be able to offer a service not limited to Worcestershire but already as far as London.

Case study: donations in action

Winston was a dog that was being cared for in a local authority pound. The duty of care there lasts seven days and when we were notified we arranged to collect him as quickly as we could. Our volunteers drove to the collection point at 9pm and collected what turned out to be a little diamond. His stay, and for that matter his life would have ended just 12 hours later.

Your donations enabled Happy Staffie Rescue to purchase its first van, and this was used to make the journey and bring both Winston and another dog with a similar fate over him Bobby, into rescue. Within two weeks we had found loving new homes for both them.

Our van has now been used numerous times to rescue dogs - as well as being used to attend fundraising events, collect donations and much more. Despite being several years old it has proven to be so valuable either directly saving dogs, or indirectly through fundraising.

Winston - one day after rescue, now happier than ever in his loving new home
