The Vikings set sail this May [28th] to conqeur the Edinburgh Marathon aiming to set a new Guinness World Record in the process - in full Viking outfits, home grown beards and fully ensconced in a tradditional long-boat raising money for Lincolnshire Lives and the Epilepsy Society.
The Viking Team consisting of Nigel Burton, Martin Ward, Steve Tait and Chris Gale, [Total Team age - 197] ably supported by Craig Williamson will be battling the 26.5 Mile course in a four-man outfit, aiming to beat the current record of 5:hrs 25mins.
We have chosen two excellent charities as we are all family people; two of which have been directly affected by epilepsy, one recently had a family member saved by Lives emergency response. We hope to raise enough money to make a difference so that others can benefit from their support ongoing support and excellent service. Thank you
