Tusome Africa is a UK-registered charity (No. 1176901) dedicated to bringing quality early childhood and primary education to children in Uganda’s most underserved rural communities. We establish low-cost, community-run Early Childhood Centres, train local women as paraeducators, refurbish school libraries, and deliver evidence-based teacher training — all to ensure every child, regardless of poverty, gender, location or ability, can access foundational learning, build school readiness, and break cycles of poverty. Since 2017, we have supported thousands of children across Iganga, Bugweri and Wakiso Districts through sustainable, inclusive programmes that empower women, strengthen communities, and foster lifelong opportunity.
