Aberlady Primary School Parent Council is the body responsible for representing parents’ views, so that those views can be discussed with people such as the Head Teacher, East Lothian Council representatives or other Parent Councils in the area. Parent Council is also responsible for feeding back the outcomes of these discussions to school families. Our Parent Council is also responsible for fundraising to support the school (unlike some other schools, we do not have a separate PTA). Funds raised will continue to support the provision of activities and the purchase of equipment or other resources which are not provided by core school funds, in order to improve the school experience of our children.
