The Alun Islwyn Giles Nursing Scholarship was launched in 1989 to honour Alun and the outstanding contribution he made to the nursing profession. Alun served as Chair of the RCN Wales Board for two four-year terms between 1981–1989. He was also a member of RCN Council later becoming Chair of RCN Council. Nursing is a career that requires life-long learning/development. A scholarship can help support this and all donations are appreciated.
