Every young person has potential, yet too many face adulthood without support, networks or guidance. The Ambitious Together Foundation (ATF) exists to change this by building the UK’s first national infrastructure for mentoring. We support care-experienced, care-adjacent and marginalised young people aged 16 to 30, including young carers, those affected by bereavement and young adults who have faced deep instability. Across the UK, 1 in 3 care leavers becomes homeless within 2 years, up to 27% of the adult prison population have experienced care and nearly one million young people are economically inactive. This represents not only personal loss, but a loss of future economic and social contribution. ATF brings together intergenerational mentoring, data-driven matching, research, and civic partnerships to create measurable change.
