Aoibhneas provides safe emergency accommodation for women and children experiencing domestic abuse through the provision of 10 self-contained units for 10 families. Women and children can access refuge accommodation on a 24 hour, 365 day a year basis. We provide access to a 24-hour free confidential helpline service. We also provide a drop-in service along with court accompaniment and preparation. We provide Outreach and Community Support where we advocate tirelessly for victims of domestic abuse enabling women experiencing domestic abuse to access the necessary supports in a range of different locations. Aoibhneas provides specialist training to statutory groups, non-statutory groups, family resource centres, women’s groups and specialist domestic violence services responding to domestic violence.
