We are a centre for the exchange of ideas, information and advice on all aspects of double reed instruments. We also fulfil an important role in encouraging greater interest in the instruments, and in securing their place in the wider cultural and educational environment. We publish our magazine Double Reed News several times a year as well as periodic digital newsletters and our Facebook page. Our website is full of interesting items, including podcasts and our mini film series BDRS Shorts. We organise a range of exciting events aimed at all members of the double reed community - professional and amateur musicians, conservatoire students, double reed teachers and under-19s. We are also building a digital music library as well as maintaining a teachers' register.
