Baldock Arts and Heritage Centre (BAHC) is a volunteer run organisation that took over the lease of the Old Town Hall in 2013 to ensure the building continued to be used for the benefit of the local community. BAHC was granted charity status in 2014 with the following broad aims: To preserve and maintain The Old Town Hall for use as an Arts and Heritage Centre and as a hall for the cultural and communal benefit of the Town of Baldock and its neighbourhood. To encourage and promote wider public interest and participation in the arts, including theatre, music, fine art, film, photography or any other artistic endeavour. To advance the education of the general public and encourage and promote public interest in the history and historic culture of Baldock and its neighbourhood by the provision of a heritage centre in the Old Town Hall. Since 2013 BAHC has hosted both professional and amateur drama, music festivals, literary events, comedy evenings and family shows. A Gallery featuring local and community artists has opened downstairs and one end of the building hosts the Baldock Museum.
