Who are Biggleswade Sandy Lions? We are a local voluntary service organisation of men and women. We are part of Lions Clubs International, the largest voluntary service organisation in the world. What do we do? • Help with the cost of local food banks • Emergency help for local people in desperate need We also provide: • Easy access to your medical details, when you need them in emergency through "Message in a Bottle", "Message in a Wallet" or "Medic Alert". • Opportunities for youth. • Social outings and events for disadvantaged children and elderly persons • Christmas parcels to the lonely or needy • Fun events for the enjoyment of the community, to raise funds for our work • Internationally, we fund eye operations to restore sight and other health and social care in the third world, including international emergency relief needs. • Lions have provided over 100 years of service since they were first formed. • Please contact us about membership or any of the work we do.
