An indelible commitment to helping families care for loved ones lies at the heart of the Last Mile Ride, Run, and Walk. And our participants and fundraisers, who turn out year after year, are our heart.

This year’s Last Mile to support end-of-life care is dedicated to the memory of a big and beloved part of that heart: Chip Milnor, who passed away in May 2023. Chip, who rode with us from the beginning, left us an unforgettable legacy of warmth, generosity, and fun. We endeavor to do him proud by making our 2023 Last Mile the most record-breaking and community-strengthening event yet.

Again this year, you can join us however works best for you, near or far, wherever you are. And you can help us surpass 2022’s incredible numbers: our 17th annual Last Mile set new records, with 560 people bicycling, walking, running, and motorcycling their way to $187,000 for Gifford’s palliative care program, assisting families whose loved ones are in life’s last mile.

Let’s make our 18th annual Last Mile even more incredible. For Chip. For the families we can continue to support with your generosity. And for the celebratory spirit of unity that our Last Mile tradition brings to our community.
