As Ontarios largest community academic hospital, THP cares for 2.2 million people with our 6,800 frontline health care workers. We will only win the fight if they stay healthy and have the tools and equipment they need to care for our COVID-19 patients.

Since the virus hit, we have been testing tens of thousands of community members, treating the largest number of COVID-19 patients in in the province, providing leadership support through our data scientists, and helping in local long term care homes.

We need to ensure our frontline staff continue to feel safe, supported and mentally fit under unprecedented circumstances and over an unknown length of time. And visitor restrictions mean family members are being separated during difficult times, so were using embracing technology to keep families in touch.

The sum of these efforts means our frontline staff have the tools and equipment they need to stay healthy and productive as they treat patients under trying circumstances, and that patients and families also have supports during their stay.
