Building Hope Together: A Community Campaign
Domestic violence impacts families in every neighborhood of Rockford. Survivors often face impossible choices: stay in unsafe situations or walk away without support. On average, survivors travel 26 miles to access resources. The Rockford Family Peace Center changes that.
At the Family Peace Center, survivors only have to tell their story once. Under one roof, they can find:
-Crisis intervention and safety planning
-Counseling and advocacy
-Legal and law enforcement support
-Child play therapy and wrap around services for children exposed to DV
-Emergency resources and referrals
Every service is trauma-informed, free of charge, and rooted in hope.
“When I walked through the doors of the Family Peace Center, I felt safe for the first time in years.” – Survivor served by FPC
During Domestic Violence Awareness Week, we’re asking our community to stand with survivors. By giving today or fundraising on behalf of the Family Peace Center, you are helping ensure:
-Survivors receive immediate help and long-term healing
-Families have a safe path forward
-Our community shows survivors that they are not alone
