Domestic violence impacts 1 in 4 women and 1 in 1 men in their lifetimes. This issue is close to my heart because I’ve seen the impact on loved ones, and I believe everyone deserves safety.

The Rockford Family Peace Center is a safe place where survivors of domestic and sexual violence, child abuse, elder abuse, and human trafficking can find hope and healing. By bringing together law enforcement, advocates, legal help, counseling, and more under one roof, survivors only have to tell their story once and can receive wraparound support to rebuild their lives.

During Domestic Violence Awareness Week, I’m joining the Building Hope Together campaign to raise $250. Every dollar goes directly toward supporting survivors and expanding resources here in Rockford. Together, we can show survivors that they are not alone.
