Nearly 200 years ago in Lexington, Georgia, church leaders came together to form a seminary. The first class was held in mid-September of 1828. Columbia has been ever faithful to its mission to form resilient, bold and imaginative leaders for the church and God's changing world ever since.
On September 17th, we celebrate our second annual Ever Faithful Day!
This day of collective generosity marks the first day of classes on the Decatur campus in 1927, after moving from Columbia, South Carolina. This day also recognizes our faculty and students who will be in the early weeks of another semester of teaching and learning in new ways - ways that are innovative, creative, and adaptive to this unprecendented time.
On Ever Faithful Day, the entire Columbia community will come together virtually, to show its support for this transformative and holy place that exists to nurture and form the next generation of leaders for the challenges and opportunities of ministry.
Will you join us?
Your support of Columbia and Ever Faithful Day makes you part of Columbia's future! Your faithful generosity enables us to provide a second-to-none theological education to those whom God has called to serve the church and the world.
Thank you for your ever faithful commitment to the next generation of leaders for the church and the world.
