As we celebrate Friendship Day on June 3rd, I ask you to join me in honoring the beauty found deep within each friendship. Friendships are created at FLC over a conversation at lunch, volunteering together at a local nonprofit, admiring someone’s artwork in the art studio, sitting on the front porch visiting, or taking a walk in the park. By providing these opportunities, FLC is igniting lifelong friendships amongst our participants and the community.

A $50 gift funds one Lunch Bunch class—a joyful, hands-on experience where five Friends come together to cook a delicious meal, share laughs, learn valuable kitchen skills, and enjoy lunch side by side. It’s more than just cooking—it’s a moment of connection, confidence-building, and community, where every ingredient adds flavor not just to the food, but to friendships that grow stronger with every shared bite.

A $150 gift funds one month of Open Studio—a creative sanctuary where 10 Friends come together to express themselves through art, guided by two masters-level art instructors. In this welcoming space, they paint, draw, sculpt, and explore their imaginations, all while building confidence and deepening friendships. Their artwork isn’t just for themselves—it’s proudly shared with the community, displayed in local venues, and celebrated as a powerful expression of their unique voices, talents, and stories.

A $250 gift covers a full month of transportation for our Friends—opening the door for them to stay active in the Nashville community. Whether they’re volunteering with local organizations, spreading joy by handing out ice cream, showcasing their original art through heartfelt performances, or exploring new places around the city, this access helps break down stigmas and build genuine, meaningful connections. With every ride, they’re not just going somewhere—they’re showing the world who they are and forming friendships that transcend barriers.

A $500 gift supports the Friends of 615 Social Club—a monthly gathering of 20 like-minded adults who come together to build lasting friendships and connect through shared experiences. Through laughter, mentorship, and meaningful conversations, they grow together in areas like employment, social confidence, life skills, and most importantly, the joy of simply belonging to a community that celebrates who they are.

A $1,000 gift provides one Friend with a full month of enriching programming—offering opportunities to build meaningful friendships, discover new passions, celebrate personal milestones, and most importantly, feel truly seen, valued, and joyful in a place where they belong.
