It's been a little over a decade since my sister attended Friends Life Community...and WOW! So much has changed and yet so much is still the same.
That 15-passenger van named 'Twinkie' spotted in the video above is still around as well as a few faces, and the hub property at 4414 Granny White Pike in Nashville.
Another thing that hasn't changed is that 'everyone deserves a place to belong'. While it is a tagline, it is also a very strong truth! That sense of belonging can certainly happen anywhere but for many, FLC is that place because that is where their life is happening each day.
My sister moved back to Paris in 2017, but other familiar faces are still here 10+ years later and still ask about her each day when they see me - I started working here in 2021 and am touched that our Friends still to this day ask about my sister and how she's doing.
For my birthday, I'm asking my friends and family to please support my page in honor of FLC's Friendship Day -- I'm working on a goal of raising $1k to help with FLC's overall goal of $100k that ends on June 3rd.
