Stand for Justice This Giving Tuesday—Support Public Counsel
Everyone deserves justice, regardless of their income, race, identity, or national origin. For over 50 years, Public Counsel has been a leader on the legal frontlines—working alongside communities to advance civil rights, expand opportunity, and transform unjust systems.
Right now, Los Angeles and California are at the center of our nation’s most urgent challenges—from housing affordability to immigrants’ rights to economic justice. Our team of attorneys and advocates partners with impacted communities, fighting to transform individual lives and fix the broken systems that cause harm in the first place. But our work is under attack, with funding threatened both locally and nationally. In these times, your support matters more than ever—and we will not back down.
Your contribution protects communities.
This summer, we filed a landmark class action lawsuit, Vasquez Perdomo v. Noem—challenging ICE’s unconstitutional stop-and-arrest practices and denial of due process at the notorious B-18 federal holding site in downtown LA. Our legal action secured groundbreaking temporary restraining orders—protecting Angelenos from abusive immigration tactics and unlawful denials of attorney access.
Your support changes lives.
When Sofia, a courageous 4-year-old, came to the U.S. for life-saving medical care, her family’s future was thrown into jeopardy after the government abruptly revoked her humanitarian parole. Thanks to your support, Public Counsel fought relentlessly for Sofia and her mother, restoring their right to stay in the U.S. and receive critical treatment at Children’s Hospital-LA.
Public Counsel is one of the nation’s only nonprofit law firms standing shoulder to shoulder with people who need immediate legal support—while also taking community-driven cases to the Supreme Court. In this pivotal moment, your Giving Tuesday donation powers relentless legal advocacy for families in crisis, fuels systemic change, and advances justice for all.
