Posse identifies high-achieving students from underrepresented backgrounds, sends them to elite colleges and universities, supports them through graduation, and cultivates them as leaders capable of generating consensus solutions to the complex problems of America’s increasingly pluralistic society.

Story

The Posse Foundation identifies, recruits and trains incredible young leaders and sends them in multicultural teams - Posses - to 58 top colleges and universities across the country.

The COVID-19 pandemic has driven Posse to rapidly adapt and evolve as we continue to serve our students. We are innovating in real time, using technology to keep Scholars connected, reassured and supported directly when needed. Despite the unprecedented challenges, in the middle of a global crisis that has left many physically isolated and lacking basic resources, we will not miss a beat in supporting these extraordinary young people.

Every spring, we honor our community at special events including commencement ceremonies near and far, and the annual Posse Gala. We are used to celebrating our leaders and supporters with standing ovations in packed rooms, warm embraces and tears of joy. This year is different but while we may be sheltered in place, we want to emphasize we are not alone.

When you make a gift to support our award-winning leadership program, you join our community of Posse Love. An investment in Posse is an investment in our Scholars. Your contributions will sustain us as we ensure our students stay on track to graduation, despite the unprecedented obstacles in their way.
