Story
When creating our 20-year master plan for the improvement of Hermann Park, we spoke to the community to see what new things they would want in the Park. The most requested new feature? A dog park!
Our furry friends are one of the most under-served visitors to Hermann Park and we are so excited to finally give them a place of their own! The Conservancy has selected a 2.4-acre site for the McWilliams Dog Park, located along Brays Bayou and South MacGregor Way - out of flood zones.
This exclusive doggy domain will feature: dedicated areas for large and small dogs ; play equipment and interactive water features ; dog wash stations; seating for owners; shade and natural light for all hours; and on-site parking.
Lend Us a Paw
With tremendous support from the Hermann Park lovers, we have already raised 75% of the amount needed to start construction on the dog park later this year.
We know this dog park will be an essential part of Hermann Park for many neighbors and we hope we can count on you to help us reach our goal. Let's give our furry friends something to wag about!
