A devastating earthquake has struck Eastern Afghanistan.
A powerful 6.0-magnitude earthquake has struck Nangarhar and Kunar provinces in eastern Afghanistan, killing over 800 people and injuring more than 2,000. Thousands have been displaced as homes, roads, and entire villages have been destroyed by the earthquake and subsequent landslides.
This disaster comes on top of widespread poverty and food insecurity. Families already struggling to survive now face even greater hardship — especially women-headed households, children, and the elderly.
They urgently need food, medical care, shelter, and hygiene support.
