Story

MINISTRIES IN GHANA

The Republic of Ghana is home to over 32 million people with many linguistic and religious groups. Ghana is a leader in African international affairs and has significant influence in West Africa. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, Ghana was subjected to the Europeans’ slave trade and used by the Portuguese, Dutch, Germans, and British over the centuries until independence was won in 1957.

International Needs began its ministry in the capital of Accra in 1984 and is committed to seeing change in communities and transformed lives through an integrated approach. The IN Ghana ministry operates with a focus on child rights, education, health, gender and empowerment, and Christian witness.

Education

Provision of primary and secondary educational assistance that includes child sponsorship to vulnerable children across Ghana. A scholarship program provides education and vocational training to select students who qualify for higher education.

The CEED program (Center for Empowerment and Enterprise Development) empowers women through the provision of vocational skills training, counseling to at-risk women, and rehabilitation of victims of human rights abuse.

The annual cost of this vocational school is $600. Will you help us to send 75 women to school?
