Behind this cheerful face is something you don’t see--Emma has severe anxiety and depression, challenges no one should ever have to endure. This is a quiet battle that, for the longest time, she and her parents thought they had to face alone.

Her parents struggled to find her the support she needed, but they found that the cost was simply out of their reach—a similar situation for many children and families needing specialized mental health care. With therapy sessions running at hundreds of dollars and with her parents managing the family on a single income with no workplace benefits, Emma’s family felt alone and unable to get her the support she needed.
