Stigma, long wait lists, language barriers, cost, and the challenge of finding the right counsellor prevent many people from getting the mental health care they need. We work to reduce these barriers through shorter waits, multilingual counselling, subsidies, and thoughtful counsellor matching.

Your support makes this care possible. You help JFS Ottawa provide subsidized mental health counselling in 14 languages—care grounded in culture, faith, identity, and lived experience. As a family services agency, we also offer wraparound supports such as financial assistance, food programs, settlement services, and senior support when needed.
