The family and friends of Mike Hackman and Marshfield Clinic Health System are joining to together, for the 10th year, to educate and improve the health of our community. In 2011, event organizers were brought together with a passion for advocating mental health awareness and providing a hopeful message to those affected.
Your Miles Make a Difference for Mental Health
Since the first Mike's Run, nearly $320,000 has been raised to support mental health services that educate and improve the health of our community. Proceeds from Mike's Run have impacted countless lives through the following mental health initiatives and community impact programs:
Suicide prevention training to over 1,000 community members who engage with populations at risk of suicide.
An annual Behavior Health Professional and Community Conference bringing together medical professionals, educators and community members to learn, train and discuss emerging mental health topics.
Community Education Sessions focusing on stress management and resilience, emotional intelligence, sleep management, and mindfulness.
Social and Emotional after-school learning in small group settings for at risk youth at the Youth Net program.
Mental Health Patient Navigator at Marshfield Clinic Health System; a single point of contact that connects patients and families with appropriate resources for their specific situation while offering support and guidance.
