Together, we can make strides in groundbreaking melanoma research!

The Melanoma Research Foundation (MRF) is the largest independent organization devoted to melanoma. Committed to the support of medical research in finding effective treatments and eventually a cure for melanoma, the MRF also educates patients and physicians about prevention, diagnosis and the treatment of melanoma. The MRF is an active advocate for the melanoma community, helping to raise awareness of this disease and the need for a cure.

Run the Eugene Marathon with the Melanoma Research Foundation April 25-27 2025. When you run for the MRF, you commit to fundraising the following amounts: $350 for the full marathon, $250 for the half marathon, and $150 for the 5k. We’ll contact you when you hit your fundraising minimum and we'll send you a race registration code. Sign up on the Eugene Marathon website and have the registration fee waived.

To join us, please follow these steps.

1. Click the "Start Fundraising" button.

2. Set your goal. Remember, to receive the registration code, the fundraising commitments are:

​$350 for the marathon

$250 for the 1/2 marathon

$150 for the 5k

3. Start fundraising! An MRF staff member will be in touch to support you along the way. Once you have raised the minimum for your distance, the MRF will send you a redemption code for you to register for the race.
