Story
Over the next three years, its Phase Eight's aim to raise enough to fund 10,000 Macmillan nursing hours. During our lives, half of us will be diagnosed with cancer. Right now, there aren't enough cancer nurses in the UK, so it has never been more urgent to make sure we do everything we can.
£32 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for 1 hour, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.
Macmillan nurses are specialist cancer nurses with experience and qualifications in cancer care. They can help people to understand their cancer diagnosis and treatment options and support them through their cancer experience. These nurses are experts in controlling symptoms, such as pain, sickness or breathlessness. They also give emotional support and practical advice to people supporting their loved ones too. Macmillan nurses will do all they can to ensure people living with cancer can live their life as fully as possible.
