We think the whole world could learn from our school about overcoming obstacles... creating a hopeful way forward... standing on your own two feet as well as the necessity of a strong support system... the happiness of having a friend and the satisfaction of a job well done.

Philips Academy is all about "Real Learning For Real Life". Our program is designed specifically for middle and high school students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The curriculum is a unique combination of academics, job training, and social/life development skills. This purposeful education prepares our students for all of the benefits and responsibilities of adulthood.

Bridges, our post-secondary program, supports young adults to achieve independence, like finding a job, riding the bus, and cooking a meal. Students explore volunteering, paid employment, independent living and more to find their path to success.

Your gift is "Paving The Way". It supplies materials for hands-on science and math lessons. It funds job training sessions at community organizations and creates school-based simulated workstations. And so much more. Most importantly, it helps to provide scholarships to approximately half of our students.
