The Pluck Project provides us with the opportunity to experience the artistic gravity and variance of different communities as we venture together across the country. We explore ourselves not just as artists, but individuals seeking to improve the lives of all those around us. Ethan Digby-New (Pluck Project Member for the Class of 2022)
The final goal for The Pluck Project is to put on a production of self-choreographed solos in a selected location. It is to show everything weve learned over our four years at UNCSA while also presenting our individual styles that have grown and developed along the way.
This project powers creativity by allowing the senior contemporary dance students to experience the professional dance industry while also connecting with alumni. The Pluck Project, throughout the year, also participates in outreach opportunities working with young-aspiring artists by teaching dance classes in schools in the neighboring communities.
