The Pluck Project is a senior contemporary dance initiative that aims to bridge the gap between student life and professional life. Pluck fundraises during the year to support travel in April that connects us with leading artists across the country.

Story

The Pluck Project is a senior contemporary dance initiative that is student led and facilitates the growth 4th year UNCSA dancers as artists and professionals. Pluck aims to bridge the gap between student life and professional life by helping us cultivate and refine professional portfolios, and develop vital skill sets for a career in the arts. We are connected with the local community in Winston Salem, and work throughout the academic year to fundraise, build outreach programs, and work collaboratively between the community and our school, with an end goal of showcasing self-choreographed solos in a city of our choosing. Pluck is about finding our voices as emerging artists and using them to define our individualism while also working as a solid unit of creativity and imagination.
