For over 50 years, Variety - the Children's Charity has stepped in to fill the gaps where healthcare ends, providing direct support to to children throughout BC.

Together, we can be there for families when they need us most, helping kids get out and be active in their communities with brand new mobility equipment; hear their mother's voice clearly for the first time with the use of much-needed medical supplies; learn how to communicate effectively and express themselves through specialized therapies such as speech & language therapy, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy; find support for their mental well-being; and secure tuition and bursaries for tutoring to achieve excellence in school.

Because of you, Variety BC has been able to expand its funding this year to include:

- Private autism assessments to ensure kids with ASD can access support and funding as soon as possible.

- Psychoeducational assessments to better understand a student's strengths and needs so they can reach their fullest potential in the classroom.

- Equine therapy using horses in a therapeutic environment to create positive impacts.

- Music therapy using the physical, emotional, and mental facets of music to help improve the overall health of a child.

- And the Variety Schools Grant Program, which funds projects that promote inclusivity at school.

We know that kindness and altruism begins at a young age, which is why schools across the province are participating in the Variety Schools Fundraising Program, where students can develop and grow together to shape a more empathic, accessible, and accepting world for the future - where kids from every background can simply be kids!
