We are the owner of the spectacular A listed Winter Garden Building which houses the only cinema on the island. Our aim is to maintain and develop this very important building and cinema for the community-to provide an enhanced cinema with arts, entertainment and associated facilities for the benefit of the island community and visitors. Built in 1924 on the site of an old bandstand, the cast-iron and glass structure was visited by thousands of people from Glasgow each year at the height of Bute's tourist boom. It has continued to be a well-loved local landmark and is one of only two surviving examples of the work of the William Saracen foundry in Glasgow.
