Comann Eachdraidh Lios Mor was founded to study, protect and interpret Lismore's unique prehistoric and historic heritage, including community archaeological investigations of the Early Church and the Medieval Cathedral. It runs a prize-winning heritage centre (museum, shop, library and cafe).
