About us

Holm run We’re extremely proud to introduce the run-derful team that will be putting its best foot forward for Flat Holm Island at the Cardiff Half Marathon! Situated five miles off the Cardiff coast, this small but significant isle is a unique local nature reserve with Site of Special Scientific Interest status. Funds raised from completing the half marathon’s Team Challenge on Sunday 6 October will go towards various projects to help protect the island’s incredible wildlife and important heritage. These include vital nature conservation, maintenance of historic buildings and training volunteers. The Flat Holm Society is a registered charity committed to supporting the island through its dedicated team of volunteers. Ellie Jones, Sarah Magor, Sarah Morgan, Simon Parker and Deborah Webb will be taking on the Flat Holm team challenge.
