Italian Scotland is a charity registered in Scotland and recognised by the Italian Government, which promotes Italian culture, language and life in Scotland. The charity organises many events throughout the year for all age groups … everything from a “Befana Party” for young children to keep alive the ancient Italian tradition, to ‘Aperitivi Culturali’ for adults – a chance to meet and mingle while learning something about Italian culture. Recent events have included concerts, talks, wine tastings, lectures, Sanremo music nights, book launches, a drama première, and film and food events. We also give grants to good causes which align with our mission to promote Italian culture and language in Scotland. We really do try to offer something for everyone! Money raised through fundraising and donations are ploughed back into the community to organise events, support local groups and promote Italianità in Scotland.
