Our target population is the farming families, village based cooperatives and the farming communities of Palestine. Our goal is to help traditional farm families in Palestine gain economic and social empowerment and take their place in the world. The Land of Canaan Foundation supports the programs and projects of two Palestinian not-for-profits: Palestine Fair Trade Association (PFTA), a 2000 member farmers union, with: women micro-grants, farmer cooperative projects and a project to plant olive and olive trees in Palestine; and Canaan Center for Organic Research and Extension (CORE), a national Palestinian institute, with: programs for research, education, training and equipment for farmers in regenerative agriculture, and organic solutions.
