Newark Women's Aid has been providing support for victims of domestic violence for the past 46 years, and has helped thousands of women and children escape abusive relationships and rebuild their lives. We are a small charity providing shelter and specialised support in refuge for women and children who have been made homeless due to domestic violence, and an outreach support service for women in the community. Our aim is to ensure women and children are safe, protected and supported, emotionally and practically, enabling them to rebuild their lives with improved confidence and emotional health and wellbeing. We encourage women to build on their experiences in a positive way, enabling them to have a safer future, and achieve their personal goals.
