Sutton St James Pre-school is a long-established group which began as a charity in 1969. A group of mums felt there was a need for a community-based play and learn group for preschoolers. The pre-school was based in the Village Hall in Sutton. As the popularity of the playgroup grew it was converted to a charity pre-school ran by committee members. In the summer of 2016, the pre-school relocated to the grounds of Hollinhey Primary School to strengthen the link and ensure a smoother transition for our children from pre-school to school.
