Malvern Community Kitchen is a project to provide high quality, freshly cooked early evening dinner every week at for local families with children struggling with the cost of living crisis. Families will be referred by our local GPs and social prescribing partners. Once referred, families will be supported for at least 6 months. We intend the experience to be as much like ‘going out for dinner' as possible (are not a soup kitchen), with respect for the dignity of our clients being at the centre of what we do. With the support of the wider community in Malvern, we hope to open on additional days and in more locations during 2025. We aim to recruit staff and volunteers from the communities we seek to serve, and hope to provide opportunities for training and pathways to employment within the Community Kitchen Project. We will be welcoming our first families in February 2025.
