Weʼre raising £1,000 to help Stockport SEND Families continue to provide support and advice for families in Stockport with children with additional needs 😀
- Stockport, United Kingdom
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
I have set myself the monumetal task of running 1000 miles in 2018! To make this more worthwhile and to keep me motivated I am also setting myself a target of raising £1000 for a cause very dear to me!
As many of you will know my lovely son Kyan has a number of additional needs including Autism and ADHD. Since moving to Stockport we have been fortunate enough to be part of the Stockport SEND Families group. The facebook groups and sessions in their centre have proved invaluable to us - support, advice and just a friendly face and a brew on a really bad day has been a lifeline to our family.
Earlier this year I was elected onto the committee and then later I have taken on the role of co-chair.
I really want this group to grow and grow and keep providing much needed support to families in Stockport. We are completely volunteer run and we rely on fundraising and grants to keep us going.
Raising £1000 will help us do SO MUCH for people who really need it so please please please dig deep and donate as much as you can.
I love running but 1000 miles is going to be a big test and a big committment. Helping out this group will make every step worth it 😀
