Story

Seven year old Angus Macleod is planning to raise money for the Western Isles Cancer Care Initiative (WICCI) by cycling 100 miles in October.

The Western Isles Cancer Care Initiative (WICCI) is a local charity based in Stornoway and covering the Western Isles area. The charity supports local cancer patients through financial assistance and programmes of activities, counselling and guidance. The charity was established in recognition of the specific issues faced by cancer patients and their families throughout the Western Isles.

Angus's Story:

"Hi, I'm Angus and I'm seven years old. My class were learning about charities and I got the idea to raise some money for a local charity. Then I had a plan that I could help WICCI because they are a local charity and my shen helps them to run it.

I decided that I could raise the money by cycling and thought I could manage to do 100 miles during this month as a way of doing something and helping people in our island with cancer."
