Story
If you’re visiting this page, you probably know how Liam’s life was turned upside down by a brutal, unprovoked attack. On November 30th, he suffered a devastating head injury and was in critical condition after emergency brain surgery. For weeks, the outcome was uncertain, and every day felt like a battle. But now, five months on, we have a glimmer of hope. Liam is no longer in critical condition. Though the road ahead is long and full of challenges, he’s making steady progress, and we want to give him every possible advantage on this journey.
Liam’s family & partner Mel have shown unbelievable strength and love. For 102 days straight, without fail, they commuted from Hinckley to Nottingham Hospital, an incredibly lengthy daily journey, to sit by Liam’s side, ensuring he never felt alone. Inspired by that dedication, I will be running 102 km around Richmond Park in Hinckley on May 23rd. Each kilometre I run will represent one of those days, a testament to their unwavering love and dedication. Every penny we raise will go directly to Liam’s private physiotherapy, ensuring he gets the best possible care once he leaves the NHS system. This care will be vital in helping Liam regain his independence and reach his full potential.
I asked Liam last week what the first thing he wanted to do was upon leaving the hospital, his response was ‘play football’ & this completely broke me. Now, I want to use my legs, so he can use his!🙏🏼
Please, if you can, donate or share this page. No amount is too small, and every step we take together will give Liam that extra push toward recovery. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and support🤍
