NLive is a local community radio station that is a not for profit community enterprise. We are all about Community connection. Our license was given us to be a voice for all parts of the community, to help promote Not-for-profits and local charities, and to tell local stories.

We also play some brilliant music made right here by local artists. We are so local! Our aim is to give people a chance to talk about what's important to them, to hear about what matters, and to support them on their life (and creative) journey.

We also sell our locally produced adverts - created, produced and voiced right here in Shoetown.

We work with local charities, train new presenters and journalists, and help develop new talent.

All of this costs money.

Northampton University give us the kit we use and the building that houses our studios. They also give us a grant every year to help establish the station and move forward.

Although we work with students from the University, we are not a student station - we are all about all aspects of the community.

Why do we need more money? It's expensive to run a radio station, and we are just beginning.

We need a bit of cash to develop artists, presenters and other talent right here - and to work with youth, seniors, and those who need a boost in confidence .
