    Story

As you all know I am very keen to support children and young people in their 'wellness'.

Wellness comes in many forms, not only from nutrition and sport, but also from self challenge, self development, self love and striving to be the best you can be. This I wish for all of our students.

We have recently set up a Combined Cadet Force (Army Section) for the students at Chichester Free School. This opportunity is available for all students to attend (from year 8 upwards). It is a voluntary youth service and the children attend because they want to be there, to learn new skills, to develop their confidence.

Every week we see children from all backgrounds attend our CCF and develop into confident young adults. They learn skills for life, learn leadership, develop themselves in mind, body and soul. They make new friends, lead old friends, overcome fears, take on new challenges. Self love, self talk, self recognition. This is crucial for the foundations of a 'well rounded' individual as they move forward into their adult years, some of the cadets will be missing these values from other areas of their life and gain these simple building blocks from CCF, a regular feature in their life.

Chichester Free School is a new school with limited funds which can only stretch so far. We are passionate about giving these students the opportunity to experience activities that they would not experience without being a part of the CCF. To support the children and their families who are unable to afford adventure training kit and buy kit to offer our cadets activities such as Archery and Paintballing.

On the 29th July I will swim the Dock to Dock in London which is a 10k route in aid of raising money for our CCF. I would be so grateful if you could support me in this journey and donate some money to support the children of Chichester Free School CCF.
