Cherubs is an organisation created by and for the parents of babies on the neonatal unit at The Hillingdon Hospital. The Cherubs group aims to provide information and support to the nurses, doctors and parents.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

My twins Aaron & Alicia celebrated their 10th birthday this January. For all parents, birthdays of your children are always a special event, but for me every year it is extra special.

Aaron and Alicia were born premature at 29 weeks and weighed just 1.3kg and 1.0kg when they were born, being cared for at the Hillingdon Hospital Neonatal unit.

Having spent two months in this unit and watching the staff fight tirelessly to save the lives of many critical helpless babies with nurses and doctors who work 18hrs a day. I could not have more admiration and respect for the work that they do. Without them and a lot of prayers, I have no doubt that many of the babies would not be here today and achieve a life like normal born children and live their dreams.

Our family will be forever thankful for all of the efforts and treatment provided by the nurses, doctors and consultants.

So I have decided to take part in 10 x 10k runs over the course of this year. What inspired me is I wanted to do something personally challenging and thought how I could at the same time raise money for this fantastic charity.

I will be posting updates through the year.

Please pledge your support and donate to this worthy cause.

Thank you.
