Apologies in advance for the doom and gloom message. As some of you may be aware. The group is really struggling financially at the moment. As well as rising costs in various areas, we are now facing a significant rent increase at our meeting venue, and at spring bank, the weather caused over £1500 worth of damage to vital camping equipment.

Unfortunately, as a group we do not have the funds to continually absorb these costs, and claiming on insurance to replace the damaged kit would push premiums up to an unmanageable level.

As leaders we are very aware that subs have just increased and we are very wary about raising them again as we want to try and keep these as low as possible for you all. However, if we don't find money from somewhere, we will face the risk of closure, which I am sure you all agree would be a tragic loss.

To that end, Matt has set up a just giving page, Please share this as far and wide as you can. And if you are able, anything you can donate would be really appreciated.

Again, sorry for the doom and gloom message, and there's nothing i hate more than asking for help or money. But we are in a very difficult situation, and any help you can provide would be incredibly well received.
