Story
As many of you will already know, myself and a group from Ballymena Baptist are heading out to a children's orphanage in Empangeni, South Africa in the summer from 27th June - 15th July.
We will be working with the Christian organisation UFM, as well as Orphan Ministry MusaweNkosi. MusaweNkosi was founded in 2001 with the vision of helping children that have been severely affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Children are the primary victims of this epidemic as often parents pass away leaving children alone or in the care of distant relatives.
Our work out there will be assisting the missionaries who are already working with these children and drawing alongside them, aiming to show the love of our great God in a practical way.
In order to raise funds for this trip, we've organised a 12 hour volleyball tournament at Ballymena Baptist from 8:30pm-8:30am on Friday 26th April to Saturday 27th April. It would be great if as many people as possible could join us, whether to take part or just to watch! Don't feel you have to stay for the full 12 hours but we assure you that we'll keep going to the bitter end!
Thanks in advance for all your donations and we hope to see you there!
