Story

Street Treats are a group of volunteers who, cook, transport and serve food to the homeless and displaced people of Manchester. The group are self funded and rely on the generosity of anybody that can help provide cooking ingredients, catering equipment/cutlery etc. Any of the above items are gratefully received and put to good use. ALL donations go directly to the people that need them.

Maggies at Clatterbridge is a support centre for people who are undergoing Cancer treatment, or have undergone treatment at Clatterbridge Hospital. As above, these fantastic people rely heavily on the generosity of people, many of whom have received their first class care.

#185: From 28/8/19 until 28/2/20 (my 50th Birthday)I will attempt to run 5km every single day (925km in total) inc. Christmas Day, to raise funds for the above causes with another cause to be added during the six month challenge. In the event of injury etc. I will make up the missed distance on the runs following the missed run. I am not a club runner or an established athlete, I just like to run. I will publish my recorded run and receipts for any items purchased with donated money on the Facebook page to ensure total transparency. Street Treats and Maggies are two of the three charities that I'd like to help, if possible. ANY donations would be gratefully received, it does't need to be financial. If any catering equipment, ingredient suppliers can help..that'd be great.

Many Thanks in advance. Tony.
